Celebrate Tanabata with TEN TEN NYC at Izakaya Juraku - July 7th
Mark your calendars, on Monday, July 7th, we're celebrating Tanabata, the Japanese Star Festival, at Izakaya Juraku from 1 PM to 9 PM.
Tanabata is an annual festival inspired by the legend of two star-crossed lovers, represented by the stars Vega and Altair. It's one of our favorite Japanese traditions to bring to the Lower East Side.
What's Happening
- Write your wishes on tanzaku (colored paper strips) and hang them on bamboo
- Free shaved ice for anyone wearing yukata
- A Tanabata-themed photo booth
- Traditional Japanese paper theater storytelling
- Seasonal refreshments and art installations
Tickets
Every ticket comes with a complimentary beverage and a festival-themed gift. We're also offering VIP bar seating and a couples package with shared experiences. Yukata rentals through Kimono House New York will be available on-site.
Supporting a Good Cause
Proceeds from the event benefit TEN TEN NYC, a registered nonprofit that supports artists, mental health awareness, and emotional storytelling through art.
Follow us and TEN TEN NYC on social media for more details, and we'll see you on July 7th.
